At the mechanic's [I]

Happened to be on leave when it's time for car service, so I went to the mechanic's with Pr.WS. I'd been there a few times, but this was the first time I took pictures.

I learned about car maintenance from 2 men - my dad & Pr.WS. I'm not a great fan of car (as long as it is able to move I'll be happy), but I think sending it for service on time is extremely important - don't want any breakdown while it's raining or driving on highway.

Lifted up!

A container to hold used engine oil, which was drained into it

The part of the car which we seldom see

Pouring in the new engine oil. It's light yellowish, which will turn black after a while - that's why engine oil is also called "Black Oil" in Chinese.

There is the common impression that women don't know how to take care of cars. It seems to be true, since most customers at the mechanic's are men. However, I think that's because men generally love their cars more so they are the ones who take care of cars. Their cars is like a concubine to them (& men usually love their concubine more :-P). As a woman, I can never understand men's obsession about car (just like they'd never understand why we women like shopping).

Anyway, we women must learn how to take care of car. Go to the mechanic's with your hubby/boyfriend/daddy (and bring them shopping with you too)! :-)
